A critical access hospital with a helipad, CT/MRI, cardiac stress lab, and full clinical laboratory on site is seeking CRNA’s. Hospital with ! a draw area of 30-35,000. Many providers move to area for the lifestyle and quality of work and patient care. Applicant must enjoy the outdoors and rural living on the Maine Coast with serene beaches in a remote area. Facility/Procedures:
The new surgical services department was completed in 1999, and includes one endoscopy and two operating rooms, and en suite ASU/PACU areas. 50% of procedures are GI endoscopies performed under MAC; the remaining are general, regional (peripheral and neuraxial), and other MAC.
Job Description:
Routinely perform emergency surgeries, including rare trauma; open and laparoscopic general surgeries; obstetrical and gynecological surgeries, including labor analgesia; ar! throscopic and arthroplastic (hip and knee) surgeries, but no ! spine surgeries; urologic surgeries, including TURBT and TURP; GI endoscopy; and ENT surgery. Peripheral blocks are done in ASU by the anesthesia provider assigned to that room.
We provide 24/7 coverage for procedural sedation in the ED, and for IV and central line starts. We respond to in-house codes during normal business hours.
We have no ICU, but we do have trained staff (including hospitalists 24/7) and monitored beds, and can accommodate.

1 Urologist
2 OB/GYN Surgeons
1 ENT Surgeon
1 CRNA
2 Anesthesiologists (one will be doing more pain management office hours)
Schedule, Set up and Situation:
Regular hours are 7-3:30, M-F, rarely later than that. Everything else is pager call from home, but in-house call is expected during snow storms, et cetera. Must be able to provide anesthesia within 30-minutes of bein! g called in, therefore should live within approximately 15-20 minutes of the hospital.
The surgical services department is an all RN staff, with no scrub techs. A culture of safety, putting patients first, is embraced by all staff. Many nurses are certified (CNOR or CPAN), and all are trained to assist anesthesia on induction and emergence.
Starting Salary is $150,000 and depending on the right candidate higher.
