The Service has 137 active members and 11 sections. The position is part-time; the balance will ! require practicing any Internal Medicine subspecialty as an active member of the Medical Staff. Candidates must be board-certified in Internal Medicine and be licensed to practice medicine in the State of Maine or be immediately eligible for the same.
Previous experience in a physician leadership role is required. Salary commensurate with experience; competitive benefits package. EMMC is a 411-bed, regional, tertiary care and ACS-verified level II trauma center serving a population of 500,000 residents in an area comprising more than half of Maine's geography. The 450 physicians on the active medical staff include board-certified physicians in all specialties, and are complemented by outstanding nursing and technical staff.
