What You'll Do:
You will perform a wide variety of tasks of considerable difficulty having administrative support impact upon multiple service areas including the Bureau of Vital Records (BVR) and multiple offices.
The position is responsible for providing administrative support services including, but not limited to, coordinating meetings, answering the administrative services phone, responding to email inquiries and coordinating facilities requests.
This position will serve as a liaison for human resources. This position will assist with finance functions including: providing budgetary, accounting, purchasing, and travel support to the programs.
Collaborate with all management teams to direct and participate in a variety of administrative/business management functions including but not limited to initiating requisitions, researching and resolving vendor issues, facilitating travel needs and reimbursements, P-Card and travel card purchases, assisting with fixed assets and equipment inventory and all other appropriate business needs.
This position may assist with Vital Records customer service representative tasks to support the staffing needs. This position requires a high level of confidentiality including sensitive information, disciplinary actions and other privileged communications.

- Provides administrative support services functions. Respond to telephone calls and emails providing appropriate guidance and information to the caller to facilitate resolution of the issue. Coordinate meetings and facilities issues.
- Serves as Human Resources liaison, assist in travel coordination and perform business and finance functions.
- Assist with customer service representative tasks to support the programs.
- Assist with special projects requiring research, documentation, filing, and organizing.
- Administrative support functions, customer service techniques and general business and finance practices.
- Computer systems, general office procedures and practices, general rules, regulations, and
- Policies and procedures of the Programs.
- State Travel Policy; government financial operations;
- Government reference materials such as federal regulations,
- Arizona Revised Statutes
- Applicable agency manuals, and policies and procedures.
- Performance Management (PM), and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and Lean methodologies.

Bachelor's degree in public health services or a related field with 2 years of work experience OR 5 years of work related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Detail oriented and computer literate, excellent data entry experience, CQI experience.
(PLS Fingerprint cards) Must possess a valid level one fingerprint clearance card issued pursuant to A.R.S.41-1758.07 or must apply for a level one fingerprint clearance card within seven working days after beginning employment. You will be required to pay an $8.25 fee for fingerprint screening. If hired, you will be able to request reimbursement of the $8.25.

To help you build a financially secure future, the State makes monthly contributions to finance your retirement benefit. The State will contribute to the ASRS in an amount equal to your contribution. In other words, you and the State will each pay 50% of the total cost of the benefit. New State employees have a 27-week wait period for contributions to begin.
