The Role You Will Play:
As the Director of Nursing ( DON ) / Registered Nurse ( RN ) you will be accountable and responsible for planning, directing and evaluating activities of the nursing department, including implementation of the department's philosophy and goals, standards for nursing practice and the management and development of nursing personnel. Also, you as the Nursing Director / Registered Nurse shall provide leadership and direction in all nursing matter.
Eligible Director of Nursing ( DON ) / Registered Nurse ( RN ) candidates will possess skills necessary to coordinate resident care activity relating to resident assessments, medication management, and overall resident satisfaction. In the DON / Registered Nurse ( RN ) position you will perform general management functions such as hiring, disciplining and evaluating employees. You will also develop the department budget for approval and monitor expenses to stay within the approved budget.
In the Nursing Director / Registered Nurse role, your primary goal will be to manage the Nursing Department to achieve and maintain the quality of health care. You'll choose and develop your staff, be a born organizer and handle emergency situations. You also realize that Nursing isn't just about medical care; it's about knowing your residents and fulfilling their needs.
