The incumbent is responsible for the practice of nursing according to the Rules and Regulations defined in the State of Maine Nurse Practice Act, and MPCC policies and procedures. The incumbent performs duties and tasks in accordance with standards established for the job. The incumbent is responsible for participation in and completion of all patient safety initiatives appropriate to the position. In addition, the incumbent conducts all job responsibilities according to the Mission and Values of Mercy Hospital.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Current registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine. Heartsaver certification or attained within 30 days of hire is required. Prior experience in Endoscopy preferred. The incumbent must be computer literate. The incumbent must have ability to make decisions regarding priority of work. Most possess strong interpersonal skills, ability to understand specific instructions, and clear communication.
