Description: Mercy Hospital - Maine is looking of CERT NURSING ASST/TRANSPORT - PER DIEM right now, this job will be placed in Maine. Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, the CNA Transportation Assistant is responsible for the safe transport of patients within the hospital and supports the assigned depa! rtments by providing direct and indirect patient care activities within the scope of practice of a CNA. The incumbent performs duties and tasks in accordance with performance standards established for the job. The incumbent may have access to highly confidential patient, employee and/or Mercy proprietary information, and must handle & protect the information in accordance with hospital & system policies, HIPAA requirements and the highest level of ethical standards. The incumbent is responsible for reporting all security events, potential events, or other security risks to the organization. The incumbent is responsible for participation in and completion of all patient safety initiatives appropriate to the position, and conducts all job responsibilities according to the Mission and Values of Mercy Hospital. .
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Current registration on the Maine Registry of Certified Nursing Assistants
Healthcare Provider BLS certification is requ! ired. Graduate of an approved Maine State Board of Nursing CNA! program. Knowledge of safe body mechanics and of physical layout and environment of the hospital is required.
