The nurse in the Virtual ICU will be responsible for the remote monitoring of Critical Care patients with the goal of early detection of warning signs of! clinical deterioration. The Virtual SN will be responsible for providing tele-nursing care to a diverse population of critically ill adult across multiple critical care units. The nurse will participate in activities that promote self and staff development as well as unit specific strategic goals. The SN will be part of a team that offers presentations to outlying facilities on the care and clinical management of Critical Care patients.
All Staff Nurses provide age-specific nursing care in assigned unit and participate in activities that promote self and staff development.
Recent ED and ICU and CCU expience required. ACLS, PALS and TNCC required. Excellent interpersonal skills required. Must be a team player and able to work well within a multidisciplinary team. Non-restricted call required. The Virtual ICU SN must be willing to rotate in an ICU or CCU patient care setting.
