This nursing leadership position will support 1 West, a high acuity 36-bed medical/telemetry unit
at the New Regional Hospital!
The Charge Nurse is a strong nursing leader who demonstrates commitment to MaineGeneral Medical Center’s Nursing Vision: “To serve all who enter our doors with skillful hands & compassionate heartsâ€. She/he is responsible for: supervision of the clinical operations of the patient care unit; making staffing assignments; serving as a resource and mentor for the nursing staff; creating a healthy work environment in collaboration with Partnership Council; and collaborating with the Nurse Manager and Unit Coordinator in utilizing resources in a manner that aligns with the goals of the department. In addition, this individual abides by the principles of Relationship Based Care and the Clinical Practice Model Framework in order to achieve Patient and Family Centered Care as defined by MaineGeneral Medical Center.
Qualifications/Competencies :
Must have either a current State of Maine Registered Nurse (RN) license or an RN license recognized by t! he Nurse Licensure Compact ( https://www.ncsbn.org/nlc.htm ). ! If RN licensure is from a compact state, must obtain a state of Maine RN license within 90 days of changing primary residency to Maine .
