The Clinical Manager is responsible for managing care teams within MPHCâs delivery system according to the guiding principles established for our team based care model. The Clinical M! anager will oversee clinical support staff to include Population Care Nurses, Specialty Nurses, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Medical Assistants as well as Patient Service Representative Supervisors and Care Team Patient Services Representatives. The Clinical Manager partners with the Practice Administrator and other Clinical Nurse Managers to establish and maintain nursing protocols, policies and procedures to ensure consistent care delivery and alignment across all nursing disciplines and care team locations.
Key Outcomes:
Partners with Practice Administrator to establish and/or implement clinical nursing policies and procedures to develop clinical support competencies in support of our patient centered care model.
Establishes and/or implements patient service policy and procedures, with the Practice Administrator and Patient Services Manger to develop patient service representative (PSR) competencies in support of our patie! nt centered care model.
Works with the PSR Manager to! ensure the PSR call function for the care team(s) meets quality standards. Provides daily leadership to the care teams while focusing on implementing the triple Aim and care team model.
Hires and manages Population Care Nurses, Specialty Nurses, Clinical Support, and PSR Supervisor for care teams.
Remains current with clinical research findings, evolving community standards, identified public health imperatives and technology advancements to create measurable health care competencies to ensure nursing practices align with evolving community standards and identified public health imperatives (e.g., bioterrorism response, infectious disease etc.).
Develops, coordinates and/or conducts clinical staff development activities at all levels of clinical practice to ensure the consistent delivery of quality, efficient and cost-effective patient management services across the practice division, i.e., JCAHO, HIPAA.
Collaborates with and/or supports! Practice Administrator, Physician Leads and Population Care Nurses to develop and implement specialized programs and/or action plans to address identified quality needs and, improve clinical services, i.e., Chronic Illness Registry initiatives, Pathways to Excellence.
Ensures clinical staff are billing appropriately for services and following MPMG billing guidelines.
Identifies and participates in process improvement initiatives and efforts.
Ensures new employees are oriented to employee health and infection control.
Attends Martins Point Health Care Management Team meetings and represents the Veranda Health Center on assigned MPHC Committees.
This position has no oversight of Providers but, oversees nurses who support activities of 4-5 physicians and/or mid level providers.
Education/Experience:
RN Degree required (BS preferred) and 3-5 years experience in supervision or leadership role in medical environmen! t.

Direct Reports: May have up to approximately 10-15 direct reports includ! ing MAs, LPNs, RNs, Population Care Nurses, Specialty Nurses, Patient Services Supervisors, etc. May have more indirect reports.
