The VA Maine Healthcare System is seeking a Physical Therapist to provide staff-in-servicing and clinical education, including direct patient care under the Sensory and Rehabilitation Service Line. The VA Maine Healthcare System provides care to approximately 39,000 Veterans annually in 16 counties. The VA Maine Healthcare System is a 67-operating bed facility with general medical, surgical, and mental health beds, as well as a 100-bed Nursing Home including of 50 Skilled and Longer Stay beds, a 27-bed Dementia Unit, and a 12-bed Hospice and Palliative Care Unit. VA Maine HCS has a total of 9 CBOCs, Outreach Clinics, or a Mobile Medical Unit, that ! provide primary care and behavior medicine services. The hospi! tal, itself, is well maintained. It sits on 500+ acres and is the first veterans' healthcare facility established in the United States.

The Physical Therapist must be capable of evaluating and treating patients with multiple medical problems involving physical, psychological, and cognitive disabilities. Apply highly specialized Physical Therapy skills, concepts, and rehabilitative techniques to meet complex treatment objectives for patients whose illness is acute, critical, and/or chronic.

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday â€" Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Intermittent Weekend Coverage probable.
