Traditional Family Medicine opportunity in Norway, ME!
Family Medicine opportunity to join growing practice with four-day work week, tea! m spirit, generous benefit package, 1:6 call (shared with other practices) and no OB. Hospital is in the process of developing a hospitalist program. Physicians will have the option of giving up hospital work once the program is in place.
The practice is located in Norway, Maine in the heart of a four-season recreational area full of fun, adventure and cultural events. Unique shops in the area feature cafes, gift shops, bookstores, organic food, art, and seasonal farmers markets. Hiking, skiing, triathlons, all variety of boating, theater and festivals make the Oxford Hills area a destination venue. Norway is one hour from Portland and 2.5 hours from Boston. The lifestyle in the Oxford Hills area offers the best of both worlds to professionals and families of all ages.
In addition to the physician staff, the practice is currently staffed with one full-time nurse practitioner. The call component is currently 1:6 shared with two other family practice offices! . The physicians see approximately 22 patients per day from 9-! 5, four days per week. EMRs are utilized in this practice.
The ideal candidate will be BC/BE MD or DO with BC obtained within five years of qualifying for examination or within the time frame defined by the specialty board (whichever is shorter).
Opportunity offers a competitive salary and benefits which include, but are not limited to, incentive compensation, fully paid family health and dental insurance, paid malpractice, reasonable relocation expenses, CME allowance, medical school loan assistance program, and much more. Average FP is making in the $185K range. Loan repayment is available for ideal candidate.
