Responsible for the implementation and ongoing support of information systemsutilized by nursing staff, physicians and other clinicians at SMMC and affiliatedentities. Responsible for! coordinating all changes related to assigned clinicalapplications. Coordinates assigned software training and continuing education forusers in various departments. Responsible for user problem resolution anddocumentation of policies and procedures related to hospital information systems andcorresponding processes and work flows. Is the primary IS contact for assigneddepartments. Reports to the Clinical Informatics Manager.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing or related field, as well as certification as a registered nurse (RN) required.
At least two (2) years of experience in health care required.
At least one (1) additional year of experience with HIS software installation/maintenance typically gained through work experience in an HIS department or with a computer vendor.
Proven analytical and problem solving skills, as well as project management skills.
Excellent int! erpersonal skills, including training experience, required.
