A Personal Service Assistant is a non-licensed member of the private duty home care team who assists the client with tasks of daily living in the home as outlined in a written care plan that is established by a registered nurse ! and is kept in the clientÂ's home. The Personal Service Assistant is supervised by a registered nurse or appropriate designee and receives scheduling direction from the client service representative.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE JOB
- High school business diploma; at least 18 years old
- Prior homecare experience preferred.
- Must exhibit mature, responsible behavior and understand the need for patient confidentiality.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Must be able to follow direction and accurately report to the Registered Nurse or appropriate designee any changes in client condition.
- Must have available, reliable transportation to and from assignments.
