Description: MaineGeneral Health is in need of Health Educator - SOM right now, this vacancy will be placed in Maine. This position provides wellness and health education services to State of Maine employees in a variety of settings throughout the state including participants of the ME First program, as well as, other! State of Maine employees. Works with State of Maine contract education team to create education and programs to enhance a wellness culture in State of Maine employees. Develops and implements education programs for State of Maine employees and ME First participants in multiple locations throughout the State of Maine . Organizes education so that it is efficient, effective, and appropriate for multiple education levels and learning styles. Assists the Education Supervisor with education program design and implementation of a complete wellness education program for the State of Maine Program contract. Is responsible for selection and development of general health and wellness instructional materials and education.
Qualifications:
Valid Driver's License is required
BLS is required within 3 months of hire
Certified Health Educator (CHE) is preferred or similar
Bachelor’s degree, Nursing, Community Health Education or similar is required
1 ! year or more of experience in a clinical setting is preferred !
Other Special Skills â€" Preferred
Proficiency in a suite of Microsoft Office application Group instructional skills, Public Speaking skills, Strong communication skills
