THIS POSITION IS OPEN TO DEPARTMENTAL EMPLOYEES ONLY.
The Charge Nurse works collaboratively with the staff of the Med/Surg Unit to provide ov! ersight and direction for the delivery of Safe Patient and Family Centered Care to all patients on the Med/Surg Unit. The Charge Nurse assumes a front line leadership role in the day to day operations of the Med/Surg Unit. He/She possesses exceptional communication skills and provides guidance, support, and assistance to the Med/Surg staff.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. Current/Valid License in the State of Maine as a Registered Professional Nurse. Current BLS Certification. Current ACLS Certification. Minimum 1 year Acute Care Experience. Crucial Conversations Certification (or obtained within 1 year of hire). Current PALS for Med/Surg North (or obtained within 1 year of hire). Med/Surg Certification Preferred.
