Eastern Maine Medical Center seeks experienced physician leader to serve as Chief of Anesthesiology and Lead Physician for our hospital-employed anesthesiology practice of 21 physicians. The practice provides a wide-spectrum of care including cardiac, vascular, bariatric, obstetric, orthopedic, pediatric, endoscopy and trauma. Additionally, the practice collaborates in a comprehensive, inter-disciplinary, pain management service. The practice is supported by highly-skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists contracted through a well-respected, local, private group. Planning is in progress for a move to a new suite of operating rooms.
Candidates must be board-certified in anesthesiology and be licensed to practice medicine in the State of Maine or be immediately eligible for the same. Previous experience in a physician leadership role also required; Fellowship training desirable. Salary commensurate with experience; competitive benefits package.
